If you have ever been the nominated driver or happen to be avoiding the booze for whatever reason you can’t have helped but notice how ridiculously expensive soft drinks are in pubs. my golden standard is a pint of lime and soda – pretty much the cheapest pint you can buy consisting of a shot (or two) of lime, carbonated tap water and maybe a slice of citrus fruit. Today’s example:Rising Sun on Tottenham Court Road. Price 64pNo ice.
