Dread Vs Urge

I was asked to try to define the difference between ‘Dread’ & ‘Urge.’ Here’s what I came up with.

There’s obviously a highly subjective component to this.

Dread
Dread is a predicted emotional response to an event in the future. The emotion is anticipated and can become real. (I’m dreading the test results, it’s making me feel sick) The actual emotional response could be different at the time of course.

Urge
An urge is an immediate sometimes conditioned response to a given personal experience. (I’m nervous, I want a drink)
